It depends on size, access, how much needs digging out and the material. Most domestic driveways and patios take from several days to around two weeks. Your quote will include a realistic timescale, and we’ll tell you early if weather is likely to affect it.

In England, a new or replacement front-garden hard surface over 5m² needs planning permission unless it’s permeable or drains to a permeable area within your property. Most of our driveways are designed to meet that rule. If you also need a dropped kerb, that’s a separate application to the highway authority.
