Landscaping is where the separate parts of a garden come together. Rather than adding a patio one year and a wall the next, we look at the whole space: where you sit, where the sun falls, how you move from the house to the back fence, and what you want to spend your weekends doing, or not doing.
Because we handle the hard landscaping ourselves, the groundwork, paving, brickwork and fencing are built to one plan and one standard. Softer elements like raised beds, planting areas, sleepers, turf and artificial grass are then fitted around that structure.
Whether you want a low-maintenance family garden or a space for entertaining, we talk it through with you first and agree a layout before any digging begins.

Choosing what’s right for you.
Low-maintenance gardens
Paving, raised beds and artificial grass keep weekend jobs to a minimum. Some planting still makes a big difference to how the space feels.
Family gardens
A patio near the house, a good area of lawn for play and robust fencing. Real turf is softer and cooler in summer; artificial grass stays usable in wet weather.
Raised beds and planters
Brick, block or sleeper beds bring planting up to a comfortable height and define the edges of lawns and patios. Brick lasts longest; sleepers are quicker and less expensive.
Entertaining spaces
Larger patios, built-in seating, outdoor kitchens and lighting points for evening use. These work best when planned in from the start rather than added later.

Plan drainage early
Much of Kent sits on heavy clay, which holds water in winter. Adding paving changes where rain goes, so drainage needs to be part of the plan rather than an afterthought.

Order of work
Groundwork and hard landscaping come first, then planting and lawns. Doing it the other way round usually means repeating work and damaging new plants.

Access for materials
Many gardens have access only through a side gate or the house. Getting soil out and materials in affects the time and cost of the job, so we look at access on the first visit.

Yes. We talk through what you want, measure up and put together a practical layout covering paving, walls, beds and lawn. It is a builder's design rather than a planting plan, so if you have a garden designer's drawings we are also happy to build from those.
