The tired decking down the side of the house came out, and the side return was paved in warm-toned sandstone instead.

How we built it.

Strip out
We took up the old decking boards and the timber frame underneath, and cleared the ground back.
- 02
Prep
The ground was levelled and prepared, keeping the drains and services along the house wall accessible.
- 03
Paving
The area was laid in mixed-tone sandstone, with the manhole cover recessed and paved over so it blends in.
