White porcelain patio for a new rear extension
Once the builders had finished a large rear extension, we came in to turn the churned-up ground outside the new glazing into a clean, bright porcelain patio.

Before & after
Drag to compare.
A wide, level porcelain patio that runs the full width of the extension and steps out into the lawn.
The job
How we built it.
- 01
Ground prep
The ground left behind by the extension build was dug out, levelled and built back up with a compacted stone sub-base across the whole patio area.
- 02
Laying
Large light porcelain slabs were laid in a staggered pattern, starting tight along the new sliding doors and working out into the garden.
- 03
Drainage and edging
A slot drainage channel runs along the front of the doors to take water away from the house, and the patio is finished with a dark border.
